AIRSENS

Air quality monitoring in small settlements of the South Moravian Region with local heating systems using sensors is an innovative research project dealing with air pollution and related health and economic risks.

Air pollution due to local heating is currently one of the main air quality problems in the Czech Republic.

The project brings a unique combination of new technologies based on online sensory measurements with established methods for air quality monitoring.

The AIRSENS project involves a research group from Masaryk University in cooperation with the Brno City Council and the South Moravian Region. The cooperating institution is NILU - Norwegian Institute for Air Research.
